a day in the life of a struggling writer

11.30 am: scramble out of bed, hung over from last night’s karaoke (albeit alcohol-free)

11.45: boil water

12 pm: read about two girls who have 16,000 online friends, from vast collection of backdated newspapers, all untouched

1 pm: struggle to kitchen, make instant noodles from lukewarm water

1-2: watch repeat telecasts of Frontline, taiwanese documentary on migrating crabs, prawns, and eel.

2: turn laptop on, check mail, upload photos, check blog, talk nonsense to whoever would listen on MSN

3: type 20 words

3.30: repeat activities at 2 pm

4: type 20 words

4.30: repeat activities at 3.30 pm

Activities from 5 pm onwards are basically a repeat of 4.30 pm activities, with bathing, eating dinner and TV interspersed.
